Help for students studying in English content courses (EMI)
The English as a Foreign Language Unit offers individual, face-to-face help on campus or via Zoom, to undergraduate students studying in departmental content courses in English in 2016 (EMI - English Medium Instruction). This help is very important for students during the course, before submitting assignments and before the end-of-semester exams.
The service is free of charge and is intended for undergraduate students only.
Please note:
- The service is for undergraduate students only
- The support is provided to students studying in departmental content courses in English and not in the mandatory English-exempt courses of the Foreign Language Unit (Advanced A, Advanced B, Basic)
- The support is provided by an English expert and not by an expert in the academic field of the course. Therefore, the help provided focuses on helping to understand the material that was conveyed in English for the purpose of the course and not on explaining the disciplinary content (Chemistry, Literature, Biology, etc.).
Assistance for students with hearing impairment
Assistance for students with hearing impairment is provided through courses tailored to their needs and includes personal instruction and group work, with the aim of preparing the student to meet the regular requirements of English courses. Registration for these courses is through the Support and Accessibility section.
