Reading and Writing Center

The purpose of the Reading and Writing Center is to provide extra help and practice for students who experience difficulty in English, so that they can meet the requirements of the courses at the various levels. It is important to emphasize: students who wish to receive assistance at the Reading Center must be registered for regular English courses and the use of the center's service is in addition to studying in the course.

The center has repositories of study materials at all undergraduate levels, which were written specifically for different target populations - students with learning disabilities studying in 'regular' courses, new immigrants and students who need reinforcement.

Assistance for students studying departmental content courses in English (EMI):

Starting in 2023, we opened a unique service designed for participants in content courses taught in English (EMI - English Medium Instruction). The service is provided within the Reading and Writing Center of the English as a Foreign Language Unit by instructors with advanced degrees.

As part of the service, you can receive help in strengthening your English language skills, which are required for successful performance in the content courses you are studying, which include reading and understanding the reading materials taught in the course, useful tools for improving academic writing, practicing speaking skills and listening comprehension.

The service is provided individually in a one-on-one meeting (on campus or via Zoom). You can attend a single meeting or several meetings, depending on your needs. The service is free of charge (valid for the academic year - 2023).
