מטרת הקורס

Course purpose and overview:

The Bsisi course develops students’ English proficiency at the intermediate level through an integrated approach that aligns with the CEFR’s four communicative activities – reception, production, interaction, and mediation.

Students work with pre-academic texts of increasing length and complexity (up to 1700 words), developing essential receptive skills, such as identification of key information and text interpretation and analysis, while expanding their academic vocabulary and strengthening overall language proficiency. Through structured class discussions and short writing tasks, students develop productive skills by learning to convey ideas clearly and coherently in both spoken and written English. Course tasks incorporate elements of interaction and mediation, helping students navigate meaning across a variety of contexts and fostering their confidence and autonomy as language users.

By the end of the course, students will be able to understand academic-style content and communicate more effectively in familiar social and academic situations, with growing independence.
